Sim-Rip&Strip Paper Sacks

The Sim-Rip&Strip paper sack was designed, developed, and manufactured in the UK to help reduce plastic within the Retail Produce marketplace.

As more and more grocers move away from plastic packaging, the need for a safe, secure, and environmentally kind recyclable, and compostable solution to the packing, transit, and display of fresh fruit and vegetables becomes ever more pressing.

Packers can fill the Sim-Rip&Strip paper sacks by conventional filling methods so no new equipment is required. The filled Sim-Rip&Strip paper sacks can then be packed onto conventional wooden pallets and transported to the end users i.e. supermarkets.

Once the filled Sim-Rip&Strip paper sack is displayed in the fruit and veg section, staff simply pinch the tab to rip the sack and then pull the strip down the centre of the sack just as they would a zip. This opens the sack so goods are displayed and customers can pick and choose their fresh fruit and veg while still securing the contents within the sack.
